This model, the SLR-ZOOM Gorillapod, is designed without a quick release mount so you can use your own tripod head. If you don't have your own tripod head or plan to get one, you should probably look into the original Gorillapod or the SLR Gorillapod. The SLR-ZOOM Gorillapod can support an amazing 6.6 lbs.
